love monkey

love monkey is my life. some hipster novelist wrote a book called "love monkey" that he described as the male version of bridget jones. i don't know anybody that was clammoring for a male version of bridget jones, but this guy saw a need. he wrote the book, it was met with mild success and since hollywood likes what it saw numbers-wise from bridget jones, it got optioned. now, it's currently being made into a tv series pilot for cbs starring tom cavanagh, jason priestley, larenz tate and judy greer. and this is what i'm dedicating my life to right now. until may 3, i'll be working seven days a week, ten hours a day on bringing this "vision" to your tv screen. or not even maybe. all depends on whether les moonves likes it or not. the job is lifeless, tedious and useless, but the people involved are pretty cool. i'm writing this from "work" now. friday night at 830pm with no end in sight. i miss the days of winning game shows and doing nothing.
